2008 Spirit of America Awards Dinner

Dear Scouting Supporters:

 

Revenue from special events, such as the Spirit of America Awards Dinner, is one the major components of our Council’s annual income.  In addition to the sales of tickets and advertising in each event’s program book, we receive a significant boost at most events from live and/or silent auctions. Many of the items we auction are donated by supporters recruited by each event's committee. However, you can at any time make a contribution to our inventory or solicit donations from your personal contacts.  Typical items donated in the past have included one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia, weekend or week-long resort or spa vacations, golf outings at highly popular courses, evenings out, including dinner, theater tickets, and transportation, furs or leather garments, works of art, and Scouting collectibles.  No doubt you have attended events benefiting other organizations, and you can offer ideas from those evenings. 

 

There are a number of events scheduled in May and June that include auctions, so please consider donating an item.  As always, we are grateful for your support.
